Nepal is one of the under developed countries in the world because of its difficult geographical distribution, limited access to development, inadequate resources and overall lack of awareness amongst the people.
Trekking Encounters is committed to donating 5% of its total profit charities that work for environmental protection, education and health.
Being an eco-tourism service provider travel/trekking company, we want to preserve our environment by reducing the use of plastic bottles by our clients who are on their tour in Nepal's various mountains. We supply them safe and purified water instead of bottled water. We send our Guides to training programmes and eco-workshops throughout Nepal, which enables them to understand the importance of the environment. We also give awareness messages in the conservation of natural resources to the local people as our Guides pass through the villages. A simple example is they can ask people to reduce the cutting down of trees for fuel by using kerosene or a solar system.
This is a kind of charity work we are committed to to reduce the impact to the environment from our clients. We are life members of
KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project) for such works.

At the same time, we felt we should support other areas such as education and health. We give assistance and support to local organisations that are working in these fields. We give support to a school in Kathmandu, BRIGHT LAND SCHOOL.
The following are the objectives of our Charity:
To organise various programmes to upgrade the standards of health and education of different communities.
To ensure a favorable environment for poor students to pursue or to continue their studies.
To organise or to co-ordinate free health camps in communities according to their need.
To develop a cordial relationship with various donors and donor organisations at national and international level
